
ACMT Recognition Awards
These awards are to honor ACMT members who have made significant contributions to the College or to the specialty of Medical Toxicology. There are numerous ACMT members that are deserving of these honors and recognition. Awards are presented annually at ACMT’s Annual Scientific Meeting.

Nomination Procedures
Letters of nomination should offer detailed specific information regarding the nominee’s contributions to the field of Medical Toxicology. Send signed letters of nomination via email to awards@acmt.net with ‘ACMT Recognition Award’ in the subject line.
Award and Presentation
The recipient will be recognized at the annual ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting.
Award and Presentation
Each year the Awards Committee will evaluate the new entries submitted and all previous nominees who were not given the award. The recommendations are subject to review by the ACMT Board of Directors. The decision of the Board is final, and the Board reserves the right to make no award if there are no nominees of sufficient merit.
Outstanding Service to the College
Outstanding Contribution to Medical Toxicology Education
Outstanding Contribution to Medical Toxicology Research
Purpose
This Award will honor a member who has rendered outstanding service to the American College of Medical Toxicology.
Criteria
Any member may nominate himself/herself or any other member who would be considered a role model. Outstanding service may include but is not limited to; longevity of committee service, chairmanship of committees, new program development or subcommittee creation and leadership, and lead authorship of position statements.
Purpose
This Award will honor an ACMT member who has made significant contributions to the educational pursuits of medical toxicology.
Criteria
Any member of the College may nominate himself/herself or another member for this award. The nominee must be a member of the College. Examples of outstanding contributions may include but are not limited to; an outstanding teacher who has made an educational impact on medical toxicology, development of teaching methods (books, other publications, audiovisual teaching tools, and computer instruction), and outstanding service in medical toxicology fellowship training.
Purpose
This Award will be presented to a member of the College who has made significant research contributions in the field of medical toxicology.
Criteria
Any member of the College may nominate himself/herself or another member for this award. The nominee must be a member of the College. Examples of outstanding contributions may include but are not limited to; outstanding research either basic or clinical science, research contributions that have changed the practice of medical toxicology, and research innovation.
